I am an Infuse Pro user. I have my home movies stored on OneDrive, but I can also use iCloud. I have successfully connected to OneDrive and now want to access my home movies on my iPad, Apple TVs, and iPhone. However, when I add a file to my library on Infuse on my iPad, it doesn’t reflect on my Apple TV or iPhone. How can I sync these devices? Additionally, I am aware that iCloud allows adding a link, but I can’t find this feature. Moreover, the link is only valid for 30 days, which limits its usefulness. Lastly, when I add a file, incorrect metadata and images appear, such as labeling my home movie as a Rock Hudson film. How can I prevent this issue?
The iCloud link sharing is limited to videos within the Photos library and does not apply to arbitrary files in iCloud Drive.
The iCloud link is only valid for 30 days at a time.
Especially large or exotic video formats may cause problems depending on the device and browser, but streaming works most reliably with current Apple devices and standard formats like MP4/H.264.
Shared albums/streams in iCloud Photos only support videos up to a certain length (maximum 15 minutes).
I am trying to view my Home Videos on Apple TV. They are up to 2 GB MP4 files. They are on OneDrive but I can move it to iCloud files. How do you suggest I do it? How do I stop Infuse from adding invalid metadata and images?
Thank-you.
Please disregard. I figured it out.
For this you can set the folder of home movies to Local and that should stop the random mismatches.
I’m not quite sure I understand the first part of your post, are you now streaming from OneDrive and want to change to iCloud or are you trying to stream from either?
When you say “add a file to my library on infuse on my iPad” are you downloading the file to the ipad or are you leaving the file on the source and then streaming it?
There’s another users guide that may help get things straightened out.
and this one
Thank you for the tip on the metadata.
I am streaming from OneDrive but I can stream from iCloud if Infuse support was better. Ironically, OneDrive support is better for Apple TV. I got everything to work. Thank-you for your help.
How do I set my OneDrive folder to Local? Also there is one file that I cannot remove the metadata even though I set the metadata to none. How do I fix that?
