Stop Download versus Delete

Hey y’all,

I think this has been mentioned a few years back but I’d like to add my comment to it!

The progress bar of an offline download is very cool, but using “delete” resulted in me deleting files off my plex last night! Which felt unusual for UX; the progress bar designed to see a copy being downloaded offline shouldn’t also be able to delete the file fully, should it? I assumed “delete” was meant to say the download to my iPad would stop the progress of the download!

Going into the files view shows that I am stopping the download and removing it, but the delete in the progress bar itself was… weird.

Happy to share screen grabs, but wanted to highlight this!

You can view the file location on the video’s details page. Remote files would show something like ‘on My Server’ where local files would appear with ‘Synced’.

If you want to avoid accidentally deleting remote files you can disable the ‘File Management’ option in Infuse > Settings > General. Local files can still be deleted with this setting disabled.
