Still "Fetching Metadata"..... 8 hours later

Just installed aTV Flash for the first time yesterday, and was suprised at how easy it was to get up and running. 

I also installed XBMC, and was able to set it up to see my NAS server full of movies.

But I’m not having any joy getting Media Player set up to play the same files.

I ‘add server’ OK, but after two attempts it has now been ‘fetching metadata’ for 4 hours, before I cancelled the search.

How long should this process take? I notice if I don’t do it, then no movies are available to watch. 

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue - Media Player is not able to add the content of my library. I can scan my shares but it does not update my library.

 @support - can you please check this?

Fetching speed will depend on a few things, but the main ones being 1) how many files are in your library, and 2) the speed of your internet connection.

A good rule of thumb is that with a decent internet conneciton it will take 3-4 seconds per video to download the relevant metadata and artwork.
