Source/share name not showing in movie detail page on Apple TV (works on Mac and iPad)

Hi,

I’ve noticed a difference in the movie detail page between platforms. On Mac and iPad, below the movie title I can see the source/share where the file is located. However, on Apple TV this information is not displayed at all.

All devices are using the same iCloud account and iCloud Sync is enabled. The shares are correctly set up and working fine on Apple TV — I can browse and play everything without issues. It’s just this specific piece of information (the source path) that doesn’t appear in the detail view.

Is this an intentional UI difference between tvOS and iOS/macOS? Or is there a setting I might be missing to enable it on Apple TV?

Thanks!

It depends on what choice you use for “Details View” in the “General” settings.

On “New” the share name is at the bottom on the left just above the file name.

On “Modern” the share name is just above the movie name and buttons on the left side.

On “Classic” it’s shown at the top of the screen at the end of the Genre line just below the duration, year, rating, resolution, and audio line.
