Sorry, the installer could not install Maintenance. Error 9.100 (JB with Sn0wbreeze)

For me to get it to work on Windows I just had to restart my computer after downloading ATV Flash (black). If the icon for ATV Flash (black) is not the picture of an Apple TV it would not work “error 9.100”

I am having the mac equivalent error 13.1

Tried the music through AirPlay trick… No joy

Hi Guys…
I don’t know why, but I tried to install aTV Flash Black Version 1.4.1 again today.
Started it from my mac and it ran trough the installation without an error.

First I gave it up, cause after jailbraking with sn0wbreeze Nito TV was already installed and I also managed to get XBMC installed and working.
So my mainpurpose was already fixed. But nevertheless, couriosity wins, and I tried again. Installation was completed at first attempt.

What was the difference? I really dont know. But yesterday I had the apple tv in my homeoffice and tried to get this running…
Today the device was in my living room in standby, connected to WIFI. I was in the homeoffice and started the now succesful installation.
I know this isn’t that useful, but wanna let ya know that it worked somehow…

yes stephent, i have already tried that

Me too! Airplay trick doesn’t work for me. Tried everything bot cannot install aTV in my ATV2 4.4.4 Sn0wbreeze :frowning:

I was skeptical, but the Airplay trick worked for me. Thanks!

Hi Weijinggu,

Can you give details on the steps you performed? and confirm the error code you received?

iskid,

What’s the error you’re getting?

“Sorry, the installer could not install Maintenance. Error 9.100” (on windows) or error 13.1 (on Mac)

Hmmm… I was getting 9.100 on my Mac.

Have you considered restarting your PC and starting over?

steps:

  1. jailbreak ATV2(4.4.4) by using Seas0nPass

  2. installed XMBC

  3. Purchased aTVFlash black from firecore and download the dmg file

  4. Start aTVFlash-black dmg file by using installer (mac)

  5. follow every instuction in the dmg file

  6. the flash detect my apple tv’s ip successfully

  7. it took a long time at the transferring file step

  8. Got the error 9.100 at the final step

i jailbreaked my ATV2 through Micro USB

How come the Flash can’t be transfer through Micro USB?

Hey all!

Please post your FC_installer log in the documents folder. A lot of times the error is a network error but could be something to do with sn0wbreeze’s jailbreak method as well.

Cheers

here is log file from a mac ethernet cable installation attempt (also fails on wireless despite being found in both instances)

fails with error 13.1 after transmitting files for about 10-20 seconds

“NetDB: Open nodename nor servname provided, or not known” basically means the repository cannot be reached/contacted.

Try again and for any where you see the above error try and ping the repository (for instance ping dl.firecore.com).

If you can ping it then open a support ticket with firecore and include your log.

Also:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

2012-03-27 22:06:48 com.firecore.maintenance: Depends: com.nito.updatebegone but it is not going to be installed
Depends: com.nito.tssagent but it is not going to be installed

2012-03-27 22:06:48 com.nito.nitotv: Depends: com.nito.tssagent but it is not going to be installed

So because a failure with the NitoTV package request the rest wouldn’t install. When I try and ping the NitoTV repository (apt.awkwardtv.org) I get the following:

hi guys,

i just re-installed flash this morning and it finally installed successfully. I guess you just have to try it several times.

by the way, i use the trick mentioned in this forum. install flash while playing music from iTunes using airplay

good luck!

I’ve got the same problem as everyone here. I’ve tried the airplay trick on Mac and PC with no luck.

  • ATV2 Jailbroken with SeasonPass today (09 April - on Mac)

  • ATV 2 Working with home sharing, airplay, FC logo in settings etc

  • Firecore Downloaded

  • Every time I run it (PC or Mac) I get "Installer could not install Maintenance (Error: 9.100)

  • Restarted everything, tried again, no luck.

  • Pinged dl.firecore.com as suggested

C:\Users\ben.mcmahon>ping dl.firecore.com

Please find the log attached from my PC. Driving me insane…

UPDATE - lol looks like the support section crashes when I try and lodge a ticket - hopefully that went through…

Thanks

Im also having the same error. When will there be a fix for this ?

i did the jailbreak with seas0npass.

Did you attempt to install XBMC manually? It looks like there was a problem with the XBMC repo addition, which is blocking anything else from being installed.

E: Type ‘.deb’ is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc.list

Your best option will be to re-jailbreak with Seas0nPass then run the aTV Flash (black) installer without attempting to install anything manually.

yes i did. im new to this and wasnt sure what goes first. Ill re-jailbreak and try again.

thanks.
