Went to install this evening and recieved this error:

this is after confiring the network, enabling home sharing, verifying that in theater is visible and checking air play is on and injecting greenopoison. Nothing else was added within nitoTV and the installer was ran after rebooting. I completely redid the jailbreak from scratch because i read elsewhere that if software is added it could cause the installer to fail. The installer was run from both a mac 10.6.6 and from a vista 32 bit ultimate box on our network. Please help us fix it please .

I also have this issue. ATV has never been jailbroken previously. Seamless jailbreak with seasonpass and then ATV installer reports the "Sorry, the installer could not install Maintenance (Error 8.100)" error.
I´ve the same problem after update and jailbreak to iOS 4.2.1 (4.3). Whats that?
the solution for me was per the following article; http://forum.firecore.com/topic/4134
in particular;
17) The installation will stop with "*** Installation Failed. Sorry, the installer could not install. Maintenance (Error 8.100)" Don't worry!!!!!
18) Login into yout apple TV with ssh root@XX.XX.XX.XX (IP-Adress of your AppleTV - Password is alpine)
19) run following command there
apt-get install --reinstall com.firecore.maintenance
20) logout
21) reboot your AppleTV
22) Everything you want is there :-)
23) Install CouchSurfer etc. from maintenance menu :-)
thank you very much, that command did the tric, everything installed no problem, just could add I had to also type dkpg --configure -a to complete additing a few items.
I am pleased and thank you for getting back to us so quickly with this installer 8.100 failed issue.

my ssh don't work i use putty and when i Put my ip adress program send me a message that connection timed out ... i don't know what port i have on shh ( it is 22 or what where i can check it ?) and i don't know how to turn off my firewall... anybody can help me ... i Jailbreaked my Apple TV 2 and i can't instal aTVFLASH becouse of that error:
