Attempting to apply an .srt to a particular .mkv
Infuse recognizes the .srt file and allows the user to select it however during playback, no subtitles are visible.
The failure is present when viewing via Infuse on ATV 4k and also on macOS 27.0 with Infuse Version 8.5.4 (8.5.5749).
Works fine with the same files in VLC
What am I missing?
Is this affecting many SRT files or just one?
Can you send in one of the problematic files?

The problem is not with all SRT files, only a group in a specific set. In opening and reviewing the SRT files in a text editor I don’t see anything unusual but I’m no expert.

Thanks, I located the upload which I believe is your file.
This actually appears to be a WEBVTT file, so a quick fix would be to change the extension from .srt to .vtt.
I tested this here and it does allow the subtitle to work correctly.
