SMB or NFS?

Currently using NFS with all the files stored on a Synology NAS, and seeing that Infuse now supports SMB3, I was just wondering what are the pros and cons of each method?

SMB and NFS will have similar performance in v5.6.9 and later, so it’s probably not worth switching from NFS if you are happy with the way things work.

For devices that don’t support NFS, the new SMB implementation provides much faster speeds along with the security benefits of SMB3.

webDAV. There is no contest with my NAS. Also when I initially used my MacBook Pro with High Sierra webDAV was always the winner in terms of performances. I am talking about streaming the 400Mbps Jellyfish demo. Impossible (for me) with any other protocol. webDAV just does it.
