Add WebDAV as file source is extremely slow and unstable, the loading time is sometimes forever.
This should help.
I’ve tried settings below, and even turned off Pre-Cache Details and Pre-Cache Artwork, but it still loads slow.
I browse directly via folders and want to have the fastest possible browsing experience
- Metadata Fetching = ON
- Prefer Embedded Artwork = OFF
- Smart Folders = OFF
- Pre-Cache Details = ON or OFF
- Pre-Cache Artwork = ON
What version of Infuse?
I’m on 8.0.5
My external srt subtitles (from my Plex library) seem to be missing in these recent upgrades.
I’m also noticing things are quite a bit slower than they used to be. I’m not sure if it’s the same issues that you’re having, but when I’m scrolling down my list of movies the artwork doesn’t load in as quickly as it used to, the black/grey loading posters stay longer than usual and as they’re loading in, there’s a long pause/stutter (1 second maybe) where the remote is not responsive. So if you’re scrolling through a few hundred movies, this pause/stutter happens frequently. This wasn’t always the case. Not sure if it’s a new thing with 8.0.0 or if it’s more recent.
@BossDai is this similar to what you’re experiencing?
Infuse 8.0.5 (5028)
TVOS - Apple TV 4K (Model A2169 - 64 GB)
Direct Mode - Emby server (4.8.10.0)
Not really, mine is stuck at the loading circle for a long time. While vidhub, the other similar app I’m using, doesn’t have this issue.
Can you double-check to ensure Smart Folders is disabled for this share?
This can only be done when adding a new share, so if it is currently enabled you will need to remove and re-add this share.
Yes, I’m sure it’s disabled.
I was able to locate your report here and it looks like Infuse is receiving a number of 401 and 403 errors when attempting to access this server. I can’t really say what the exact reason is for these errors, but it could be related to a username and/or password error - or perhaps another configuration issue with the server.
By chance do you have multiple connections for this server added to Infuse? If so, this could lead to a potential rate limit situation.
I know many other people are using Alist as a WebDAV server without issue, so I think Infuse itself does work with this.
