Single Folder Sorting by Year (Option)

Hi all,

I like to organize my folder by genre and title, but when it comes to film series like Harry Potter… I like them to be by chronologic order, I am sure I am not the only one. Is there a way it can be done or could the feature be added?
Like an option on the folder to change the order OR have a sorting option in the metadata like iTunes has OR based on the file name, for example having the (YEAR) before the title, instead at the end?

Thank you all,
Thom

PS: This is my favorite app by far, thank you FireCore.

Yes, you can have Infuse sort by filename instead of title. This option can be found in the Infuse > Settings menu.

Once enabled, naming your videos like the below example should give exactly what you want.

Harry Potter 1 - Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2001)
Harry Potter 2 - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002)
Etc…

Thanks a million !!

Hi again,

It worked for Harry Potter, but doesn’t work for Donald Duck, I have ripped all the Donald Treasures DVD’s and Infuse finds the cover, if I put only the:

“title” (year)

But if I label:

Donald 01 - “title” (year)

It doesn’t find the metadata.

Thanks for the help,
Thom

Seems there is no solution for me… :frowning:

Have you tried naming them like this;

Walt.Disney.Treasures.The.Chronological.Donald.Volume.One.2004
Walt.Disney.Treasures.The.Chronological.Donald.Volume.Two.2006
Walt.Disney.Treasures.The.Chronological.Donald.Volume.Three.2007
Walt.Disney.Treasures.The.Chronological.Donald.Volume.Four.2008

That’s assuming this is the collection you are referring to?
