I’d like to provide some feedback regarding the external subtitle loading experience on Infuse for macOS. The current workflow feels unnecessarily complex compared to other media players.
Currently, loading external subtitles in Infuse requires multiple steps: after dragging in the subtitle file, users need to open settings, scroll down to find the subtitle tab, click on “Imported”, and then select the desired subtitle file. This multi-step process interrupts the viewing experience.
For comparison, media players like IINA and nPlayer implement a much more streamlined approach - users can simply drag the subtitle file directly onto the video window for instant loading. This one-step process feels much more intuitive and user-friendly.
I hope the Infuse team would consider implementing a similar drag-and-drop subtitle loading feature in future updates. This small improvement could significantly enhance the user experience, especially for those who frequently work with external subtitles.
Looking forward to seeing Infuse continue to evolve and improve. Thank you for considering this feedback.
