Hey James & co.
What about a option that allows users to make the genre simple.
example: Star wars only appears under sci-fi and not under multiple genres.
That would be so cool.
im sorry for my bad english

Thanks for the suggestion.
Right now we’re using the genre tags from TheMovieDB, and this usually results in the a movie appear in more than one category. http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/11-star-wars-episode-iv-a-new-hope
In my mind this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I can see how assigning a single genre per movie could be desirable.
I’ll pass along the idea and see what we can do.
Is this still the way things work with Infuse Pro 5.3? Will Infuse still use TheMovieDB to fetch the genre tag(s) even if I have written in my own genre tag using a metadata editer (like Subler)?
For example there is this spanish movie with english subtitles called “Dark Habits (1983)”. Obviously that is just the english release name for the film, but TheMovieDB only provides 1 genre tag for it: ‘Comedy’
I wouldn’t mind if it was tagged as Foreign / Comedy, but just Comedy would keep Infuse Library from placing it with all of my other Spanish & Foreign movies.
So am I able to override Infuse’s meta fetching with embedding my own tag(s), or does Infuse only use embedded metadata for certain tags like: title, year, description…?
*** I REALIZE THIS IS A SUPER OLD POST, SO IM GONNA GO AHEAD AND REPOST IT IN A MORE RECENT FORUM AS WELL… THANKS ***
