Show HDR10+ format

Right now for Dolby Vision content Infuse shows a DV label. But for HDR10+ content it just shows HDR. There is nothing to distinguish between normal HDR and HDR10+.

It would be good if it showed something to identify the difference.

For videos that contain HDR10+ only Infuse would display HDR10+.

If a video has Dolby Vision and HDR10+ you would see DV.

If a video has standard HDR10 you would see HDR.

If you are seeing problems here, could you send in a sample video file we can review here?

what if the TV doesn’t support DV though? you wouldn’t want it to show DV when it’s not available to the user.

Yes, that could be helpful but an app like Infuse doesn’t have the ability to detect the capabilities of the TV. For example, we can make a request to switch the output to DV but it’s the system that determines which output mode to actually use.

but the appletv has the capabilities, so the app would just need to know what the device is capable of

it’s pointless the app reporting that the file is DV when the appletv already knows it’s not capable of it.
