Show format of user's default audio track on info page

Hello, for many movies the audio track is available in different formats. In particular, the TrueHD format is often only available for the English audio track. The other audio tracks are often only available in Dolby Digital.

It would be cool if Infuse could display the format of the user’s default audio track (e.g., German) on the movie information page instead of the format of the English audio track.

Agreed, the default track should show on the info page. It’s also not so nice when there is Mono audio for the main audio and a stereo commentary. The track with the most channels seems to be currently prioritised.

Yeah, this really shouldn’t still be happening. I’ve mentioned elsewhere that I often have a FLAC commentary track incorrectly set as default because the main audio uses a lower-priority codec.

A simple fix I suggested: parse track names for keywords like “commentary” (and possibly others, like “isolated score”), and de-prioritize those.

Not only show the audio track on the info page, but also the subtitles. Only being able to choose the audio and subtitles while the movie or show is playing is ridiculous. It should be possible to choose this on the info page before pressing play.

Or maybe look for the Default flag on audio tracks. If there are more than one “default” track, fallback on the first one. If there’s no “default” track, fallback on the first audio track available.

Absolutely, that would work as well. I’ve never seen track 1 be anything other than the main audio, and I’d be surprised if the default track flag isn’t already being honored, but I could be wrong. I suppose it’s a more niche use case than I thought to have commentary or other supplementary audio tracks that aren’t the main audio (or a downmixed version of it).
