It would be nice to have the ability to navigate the seasons on the On Deck or Continue Watching section or go directly to the show that does have the season list.
Edit: seems I had Missed this topic and got merged here… seems to be an ongoing (and often pushed) feature. I liked the original post and hopefully we will have a fix soon!

I think there should be only one view for a particular episode landing page and it should include the multi season dropdown. The single season without the dropdown is less functional.
I’m sure thats harder to implement and would probably change the data fetching strategy but I think the multi season drop down brings value.

thought we finally had this since it disappeared from the upcoming features post and this was on the latest change log

The fix noted in the change log was regarding this.
The season selector is still on the planned list as per the tag on this thread.
Many many items changed position or visibility on the upcoming features list due to reorganizing the priorities of many features. This feature is still tagged as planned so it’s not missing, just not assigned to a specific release number. It still is in the works. They just want the upcoming list to more accurately reflect where features are in the pipeline.
There have been threads where the devs haves discussed this and assured that they are working to more frequent releases again and asked for patience while they work on this.

oh gotcha, thank you for explaining the way it flows here in such a detailed way. i was just worried james had removed it from the plans thinking he’d already done it but from the way you explained how you guys work - the ‘tags’ on forum posts (in this case planned) is the ultimate authority on upcoming features so i’ll use that as my main reference from now on. thanks again for the info
When I access a show I’m watching via the top shelf inside Infuse, I can only browse through the respective season. To access other seasons, I have to go through the library and into the show. Is there any provide access to other seasons when accessing the show through the top shelf?

Direct mode gets it. Regular Infuse users can apparently pound sand. Strange.

the only answer is some weird technical debt because this has somehow been fixed for everything except “non-server” files. all the plex / emby / jelly / etc servers i read this was fixed in
more than just the UX of choosing other seasons - this problem is particularly annoying as Continue Watching won’t move onto the next season because of it

Surprised to see this bug still present in the new v8 release. Be nice if this could be addressed sooner than later. Been a lingering issue for years now.
