Hi! I am still experiencing problems with unzipping. Is it possible to download file from direct link and after that do everything manually with with pressing ALT in iTunes and choosing the right IPSW?
Yes you can do that. Just ALT + Click on “Create IPSW” in Seas0nPass and browse for the correct IPSW file. It will then start building the new custom firmware for you.
And should the file from the direct link has the size in 334,235,633 bytes?
Oxyrox…I still can’t find an IPSW file that’s the right size either the Apple server or otherwise. Can you point me to a good place to get it?

Now, I have the right .ipsw file and I use Itunes 10.3.1 (55), but I can’t restore the apple tv box.
After Seas0n Pass opens Itunes and I can restore the box, the restoring started and on the verge of restor, a pop up window comes:
“The Apple TV Software was destroied during the loading action”
What remains to be done?

Hi: I can’t imagine a software programmer putting in an error message “The Apple TV Software was destroyed”!! It’s most bizarre. I would suspect a virus or some other malware.
where did you download it? Megadownloads or dropbox?

I do have problem because the installation description is made for professionals. So here is my questions which result from this thread:
-I managed to download the rigth file and also created a ‘SP’ file
-I tried to get it onto ATV but when I plugged the thing into the computer the USB services were looking for USB Driver Oftware for that apple device, this is not described anywhere? What do I do here?
-this compter with Vista running does not have iTunes installed. I read here that it needs it installed?
-moved now to my other computer where Itunes is on and try to create the software again but it is taking endless? I have ITunes running as some here says let it run, someone else say do not???
-can I also get the already converted software (SP) running in some way, what would be the work around?
I Have ent half a day with this crap now Mot gettig it sorted. Some help would be appreciated but please be specific I am not a professional.

Still hanging up on “Patching ramdisk…”
I’ve tried a couple of different IPSWs, both supposedly the correct size, and I’m still ending up with this infinite patching issue. I imagine I’ll just wait and see if I can do all this through SeasonPass from here on out since I don’t understand the issue and no one else seems to be having this specific problem.
