Seasopass says it is downloading iOS 4.3 - 8F455, does it’s magic and after answering “YES” to auto-iTunes install and setting the AT2 in DFU-mode, ITunes installs firmware just fine.
But after connecting to my TV, the AT2 ends up with v.4.4.4.
Anybody tried this before ? Did it twice, just to make sure.
Seasonpass is the latest version according to it’s own version check.
Try manually selecting the ipsw - i.e. shift > create IPSW and browsing for the 4.3 one? Might work.
Just tried it, but ended up with iTunes error 1611. Now retrying your suggestion, just to make sure tx
This time i ended up with iTunes error 20. But 3rd time lucky, except now the TV is occupied - waiting for commercial break to test ATV2.
Well that got the ATV2 back to the original 8F455, but a new try with Seas0nPasss and iTunes returned 1611 again.
Wonder if the “Auto upgrade” in Itunes just misses the jailbroken ipsw and just hits “enter” on “upgrade” in iTunes ?

Trying useing a newer PC or Laptop i found my desk pc will not work with out errors showing everytime i tried to install iOS 4.3 - 8F455
I used the same usb cable on my son’s laptop it installed fine every time.
I Found that some Older pc desktops do output enough power to enable the usb to work at it’s best haveing tried 2 different old desktop pc’s
iREB-r4 ( Google it ) is good for putting the Apple TV into DFU Mode first

I did actually get the ATV2 upgraded to 4.4.4, so it must have been in DFU-mode.
I ended up with a plethora of 1611, 20, 21 errors. So will give it a try on another laptop. Only problem : This is a one-W7-laptop household…
Finally made it : iREB4 did the trick first time over.
First iREB4 to set DFU mode, then a restore from iTunes with SHIFT+Restore the jailbroken ipsw. Worked flawlessly.
Same laptop, same cable, same W7, same Seas0nPass jailbroken 4.3 8F455 ipsw.
