Scss dlna server updates difficulty

Hey guys,

I am using SCSS DLNA Server off of a Seagate Drive.

Anytime I upload a new movie to any of my 3 movie shares, most of the time the update does not happen.

I can go to SETTINGS > LIBRARY > Click SCAN FOR CHANGES all day long and the change is not there.

Sometimes I’ve waited 24 hours to see what happens.

Sometimes I’ve rebooted the Seagate Drive.

Moving a file from one Share to another is not all that successful

During any reboots, it seems I lose metadata that was manually created.

I’m at a loss as to what to do.

As of this writing, my problems are:

  1. I deleted one movie and replaced it with a new version. The deleted movie still shows. The new version does not.

  2. I created a new folder, added to movies by moving them from one folder to another. The new folder does not show. The movies still show in the old location, but of course, trying to play them in their old location causes an error.

I’ve had this problem pretty much on and off with a lack of consistency since I started using Infuse Pro a little over a year ago.

If I’m reading things correctly, my Pro subscription is showing as active.

Thoughts?

Can you connect to your server using SMB instead of DLNA? Using DLNA adds may issues and also keeps you from many features in the Infuse Library.

Hi NC Bullseye,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. After fussing around with the network shares and the various options, I did find one that was already setup as SMB.

That pretty much took care of my problem.

Additionally, as you stated, it brought to life features I was not aware existed.

Much apprecaited.

You welcome and thanks for getting back to us!
