Scan for changes getting stuck on fetching artwork

Hi everyone,

I have Infuse 8.4.2 on my iPad.

When I do “Scan for changes” it always gets stuck on the “Fetching Artwork” stage,

E.g.

Fetching Artwork for NAS (1/1714)

This has not been working for a few weeks now .

If I clear the Library cache and “Scan for changes” again, it will start working for a while, but when the scan gets as far as 1714 items remaining, it gets stuck again.

Then all future attempts to “Scan for changes” get stuck on:

Fetching Artwork for NAS (1/1714)

as before.

My most likely guess is either a corrupted file, or other file stored on the NAS is causing it to get stuck.

Is there a way to find out which file the scan is stuck on? E.g. in a log file?

Thanks for your help

Liz

Yes you can get a diagnostic code from the app and submit here and see if Infuse team can help

Hi,

I actually found my own answer to this.

For whatever reason, Infuse’s scan logic appears to be looking at items with local metadata set (like my Drone footage)

So it appears (from the stuck Fetching Artwork message) that it also tries to find artwork for those!

By unchecking everything in settings → library that uses local, metadata it fixed my problem, and now the scan always completes successfully.

Thanks!

Liz
