Hi there,

just bought the Infuse 5 app for AppleTV. I wanted to try out the free app first but it did not play 4K mkv’s and I was told that I need to buy the full version. BTW: I suppose this is the same one as the “rented” one offered in parallel?
Anyway, so far so good. What I’d like to know is:
Does Infuse support TV? I own a SAT-IP receiver (Digital Devices OctopusNET) and would like to use Infuse for watching TV. Is that possible with the current version and if not, is that in scope?

Streaming live TV isn’t available in the current version, but this is an area we’d like to improve in an upcoming version.

Thanks for the reply. By “upcoming version” I assume you mean a major update (e.g. x.), not an incremental one (e.g. .x), correct?

To be honest, we don’t have a timeline for this right now, but it’s likely this is something we look at for Infuse 6.x.

FWIW, the subscription option available in the free app will cover all future updates, so you don’t really need to worry about specific version numbers as much. I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea though.
