I encounter an annoying bug/s with RTL on ASS subtitles.
When there is a number after a newline (\N) that includes a comma (like “1,000”) it is display in LTR instead of RTL:
Using Apple TV 4K with latest tvOS 14.2 and latest Infuse 6.5.4.
ASS encoding is set to Auto (= -1) and it’s external ASS subtitles. I didn’t tested this as embedded in the MKV, but if needed - let me know.
No issue on macOS 11.0.1 with players like VLC and IINA.
A different display bug is showing when there is a number before a newline (\N). The number is displayed in the next line below the actual second line:
And here are the ASS lines for the above examples:
Dialogue: 0,0:26:06.99,0:26:09.41,Default,0,0,0,3,000.\N-3,000. תודה לאיש שמקדימה.
Dialogue: 0,0:29:33.20,0:29:36.29,Default,0,0,0,80 אני שומעת?\N80 אלף מהאדון שמקדימה?
