Restart Apple TV for new TV shows to appear

For as long as I can remember and across multiple Apple TVs, the only way I can get new TV shows to index is by restarting the Apple TV.
This doesn’t happen with Movies and restarting just the Infuse application doesn’t resolve the issue either.
Once a show has been initially indexed after the restart all future episodes and series of the same TV show index without issue.

Any idea what could be causing this?

What version of Infuse?

Do you see the new TV shows under the “Recently Added” section?

Do you have Fetching Metadata turned on in the settings?

Have you tried using the “Scan For Changes” button in the Library Settings?

What version of Infuse?
The latest, but this has been happening for as long as I can remember.

Do you see the new TV shows under the “Recently Added” section?
Not unless I restart the Apple TV

Do you have Fetching Metadata turned on in the settings?
Yes, as I said once added everything behaves normally and never have the same issue with movies.

Have you tried using the “Scan For Changes” button in the Library Settings?
Yes, rescanning doesn’t detect the new TV show until I’ve restarted the Apple TV and then rescanned.

Full version number? Some users are still using V6 as well as V7.

If you force quite Infuse from the ATV home screen and when you launch it again, go immediately to the Settings for Library and note the messages on the left side under the numbers for Movies, TV shows, and other.

What are the messages you see before it goes to “Last Updated…”?
