Render multiple subtitles at once

Hello there,

I wonder if it ‘s possible or will to have 2 subtitles on the screen at the sametime?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
It would be interesting to be able to display a second subtitle in the same video simultaneously.
This can greatly help with language learning.
BS Player and SM Player do it on PC, KM Player (old version) too.
I do not know any video player managing double subtitles on IOS.
Will Infuse be the first?

Thank you

really hope for dual-subtitles

I know; many foreign language learners use watching movies and TV to learn language. Most movies provide subtitles in different languages, but it is rare to provide two languages in one subtitle at the same time. For example, Chinese subtitles and English subtitles are displayed at the same time. Therefore, I look forward to the fact that infuse can provide the function of displaying two subtitles at the same time, so that you can choose to display two different language subtitles at the same time. This would be a great feature!
Thank you very much, hope to reply!

I moved your post to a currently running thread requesting this feature.

I really would love this feature as well. As a language learner, it’s frustrating going back and forth between two subtitle tracks. There are some macOS video players like IINA that can do this, but I hope this can be implemented in Infuse!

Strong +1. I’m using Optimus Player for MacOS (which I highly recommend) and it has the feature to display two subtitles at the top and the bottom. For language learning, this is an absolute godsend. I hope it will be implemented in Infuse soon.

Would be such great to have this feature, I know that iina has it but Infuse is way better to access library, also would love to be able to watch content with my wife as we don’t have the same mother tongue

I strongly hope to add this option, which is very helpful for language learning,
It can be divided into primary and secondary subtitle options, and subtitles can be freely selected.

I cannot believe this simple feature takes forever to develop! wishlist

As an international app, it even adds support for Ali Cloud to show that it’s doing a good job of localizing in China. But it neglects to support bilingual users on the second subtitle.

It’s been a couple years since this post, but this feature is still only on Waitlist.

And I hardly use any of the features added in recent years.

Infuse’s approach of relying purely on the forum community to prioritize is not really reliable or representative of the vast majority of users’ experience. Many non-native English speakers probably don’t want to sign up for an account specifically to give feedback.

Could @NC_Bullseye @james please take a look at the usage rates of the recently added features?

As a player, it would be nice to see more optimization of the playback experience (e.g. fast-forwarding is a pain). Thanks.

This is an important feature for me and I’m looking forward to it soon
