Hi Guys,

I guess all would have already bought WILLOW TV package to view World Cup 2011. But won't it be great to view it on big screen using Apple TV 2G.

But how do you go to willow tv from fastpass or any of the other add-ons.

Would be a great help if you can tell me that.

It looks like you got confused between two links.

Firstly, download add-on zip file from this link:
http://code.google.com/p/apple-tv2-xbmc/downloads/list

Secondly, if you are running XBMC on apple tv 2g : follow instructions to FTP the downloaded zip file to apple tv:

Fastpasstv is a different add-on. I didnt want to rewrite all steps again that is why I referred existing instructions used for fastpasstv add-on.

I have added fastpasstv, but still don't see any channel for willow.tv.

Could you tell me how to navigate to willow.tv within xbmc ?

Forget Fastpass TV addon. It is creating confusion. 

Have you been able to install aj-addons repository in XBMC using ZIP file available at this link:

After FTP: Install ZIP on xbmc. It will enable new addons repository under Settings-->Addons-->AJ addons

With in this library : choose video addons --> willow tv
Install it and run it. enjoy.

I'm trying to play SwadeshTV. I couln't play it in Apple TV. Can you able to play windows media steam in apple tv2?

No Windows Media Stream is not working on Apple TV2. I am trying to find a solution. 

Do you know any other website other than iDesiTV provides live streaming of indian TV Channel?

How do you stream via windows media stream?  Mine can stream local files of my server via windows media server.  Not sure about other streams.

mms:// is used to stream windows media. It is not working for apple tv2.

Hi AJ,

For the last couple of days I am having a strange problem with willow tv. I get kicked off to the apple tv home screen every 4 minutes when I am watching a match.

It was working wonderfully before that.

Would really appreciate a quick reply. Watching the India-SA match.

HI Shubhrog,

This problem is happening with XBMC even if we play any other kind of video as well. I faced this problem as well. The only way to fix it by reinstalling XBMC on apple tv2. 

Did check your reply as I was also watching the match.

Thanks for the reply. I realized I have made a blunder.

The apple tv was prompting for intsalling an update and I did that, which basically installed 4.2 on the Apple TV.

The problem is that 4.2 is not compatible with the greenpoison jailbreak and i can't install all the nice things i had on my apple tv before the software update.

so, I am now looking for a way to downgrade the Apple TV software to 4.1.1. Any ideas/

Did you save your Apple TV2 SHSH blobs in Tiny Umbrela application?

If not, its too late. You cannot go back. Use seasonpass to jailbreak iOS 4.3 that is currently tethered. OR wait for untethered jailbreak which will be released within this week:

Something to try:

  • find the .ipsw files for the iOS 4.2.1 release on the internet and download it.
  • connect the ATV2 to iTunes and then do a shift-click on the restore button. That should bring up a file dialog to allow you to specify the .psw file you have just downloaded.

I am not sure if the above will allow you to downgrade, but it is worth trying. It works fine for me on my iPhone and iPad but I have not tried it on my ATV2. I still have my ATV2 on iOS 4.2.1 so I do not want to risk upgrading it to iOS4.3 if it is going to disturb my jailbreak.

No, that's another blunder I made. I am waiting for a windows version of the jailbreak.
