Recommendation to perform an upgrade

Hello everyone,

I’m a long time user of FireCore as I’ve installed on my AppleTV 1 (silver). Right now I’m using 4.1.5. I’m looking to upgrade everything on my AppleTV, but need to figure it out how tyo do it or what’s the best way to do it.

I believe it is good to have the latest version installed but at the same time, as since I install this, I never did an upgrade to my AppleTV, because it was recommended not to do it. I don’t know if I should do an upgrade to my AppleTV and then upgrade my ATV Flash or how should I do it?

Thanks in advance to all the experts in giving me a step bu step instructions on how to perform this upgrade the best possible way.

You will first want to check the version of Apple TV software you are running. This can be found in the Settings > General > About menu. The latest version is 3.0.2.

If you’re running 3.0.2 you can update the aTV Flash software through the Maintenance > Manage Plugins menu. If you need to update the Apple TV software itself you’ll want to download the latest 4.5 version of aTV Flash and re-install using a USB flash drive.
