recommendation for wireless keyboard & mouse setup?

hi,

after flashing the apple tv box i tried using a logitech wireless usb keyboard and mouse - the mouse worked in firefox & couch surfer, but the keyboard would not work for typing in a url or while viewing the apple tv soft keyboard while setting up network sharepoints, for example (streaming works great btw).

anyhow, i’m wondering if anyone can reccomend what wireless usb mouse & keyboard hardware has worked for them

OR, if there is a setting or plug-in i need to add to make the keyboard work too.

thanks …

To enter text in the standard AppleTV menus the Keyboard Magic plugin will need to be installed through the Maintenance → Manage Plugins menu.

thanks guardianmax. can you recommend wireless keyboard & mouse hardware as well? i tried Keyboard Magic with the logitech hardware but the keyboard didn’t work …

Did you ever get a reply on this? I want to buy a cordless mouse & keyboard as well, but don’t want to be stuck returning it after I find out it won’t work with aTV Flash. I have seen the one person’s post about using his Logitech Dinovo gizmo, but I would prefer not to be paying $179 for a peripheral!

Can anyone answer the original poster’s question? What wireless keyboard and mouse do you use that works well with aTV Flash, and which doesn’t cast $179?

Thanks in advance.

No reply yet … still hoping to get and answer

As said in another post (yeah, I am the guy with the “gizmo”), the logitech dinovo edge works just fine even in the normal AppleTV menus. All you have to do is follow the advice given above: “To enter text in the standard AppleTV menus, the Keyboard Magic plugin will need to be installed through the Maintenance → Manage Plugins menu.”

…and it is not $179 if you buy it from the right stores, it is $99 here: http://www.shoptronics.com/logitech-dinovo-edge-cordless-bluetooth-mac-keyboard-920-001727.html
or $89 here: Amazon.com: Logitech diNovo Edge Mac Edition Cordless Keyboard : Electronics

looks good. thanks for the great info…

much cheaper, works fine:
