After having spent hours between app settings and community forums searches, I am finally giving up and switching to an alternative client that works for me. Issue is, and it’s really an issue for me, when I download older series that have been published/released some years back or even months, they do not show up in the recently added. I first thought this to be a problem maybe with Jellyfin settings but when I use Swiftfin on iOS as a client, I can see in their recently added, all shows I recently ADDED. It’s that simple. Else it should be called recently released. So why cant Infuse do the same. It used to, but from some version onwards, it uses a different way to interpret the recently added. Great, but why don’t allow the choice to switch back in the settings? Is anyone getting bugged by this behaviour?
If you are using Direct Mode, you can pin the ‘Latest Movies’ list to your home screen which will match the Recently Added lists that appear in Jellyfin. The same goes for TV shows and other libraries you may have.
Once this is done you will see a list that matches Jellyfin.
If you don’t happen to see this list as an option in Infuse, you will want to check and ensure the ‘Recently Added Media’ item has been added to your Home Screen in Jellyfin.
Note: You can check or uncheck the Hide watched content from 'Recently Added Media' option based on your preferences.
You can also have recently added items appear at the top while browsing by changing from the default sort option of ‘Name’ to ‘Date Added’.
