I have Infuse set up on my Apple TV. I have my library set up on a Synology DS416 Play. I am at a point where I really need additional space. I can add an external HD to my Synology NAS (I’m looking at 16TB). My question is, can I just set up another share in Infuse to hit the external HD? Will this work well? I have been looking at increasing the size of the NAS overall, but that would require purchasing four drives and it will be a while before I can afford to do that.
Yes, you can most definitely set up a second share in Infuse. If you are using the Library features the content from this second share would be grouped alongside your other videos for a seamless experience.
I don’t have experience with external drives on Synology, but it’s possible this may actually be accessible as a folder under your current share.
