Hi all,

im using Infuse mostly at home to stream movies from my synology 920 nas to my apple tvs. everything works perfectly fine. When im on vacation a also want to access my library, which also works via vpn. But the network speed is usuallynot fast enough to stream 4k uhd data. is it possible to have one (non decoding) setup in infuse for my at home streaming and on setup (via jellyfin/plax/emby) to access hw encoded content when im abroad.

Can anyone give me some tips / how to’s on this topic?

infuse doesn’t have any transcoding capabilites

When you’re away from home, you use VPN to connect to your home network. This allows you to access your NAS as if you were on the same local network. However, if the remote connection is slow, streaming 4K videos in real time can be problematic.
