Hi. I’m having metadata trouble with two cartoon shows, Wally Gator (1962) and Precious Pupp (1965). While almost all other shows i have, collects the correct metadata from the tvdb, the above mentioned cartoons are trying to collect metadata from tmdb, where the cartoon Precious Pupp doesn’t even exist, and Wally Gator has only one Episode. I tried almost every possible combination writing the names of the cartoons:
Infuse only uses only TMDB for metadata on both movies and TV shows.
It appears that TMDB does only have one episode for the Precious Pupp and Wally Gator TV series but if you want to you can add the rest to their database. They are user supported and always appreciate users who add and or complete TV series and movies as long as you follow their guides.
Their pretty strict on following their guidelines but that in turn keeps their database one of the best.
On a different note, thanks for reminding me of two of my childhood favorite Saturday morning shows back when rabbit ears were the norm.
(Disregard my correction on the title, I didn’t notice you had posted in an earlier thread. My goof.)
Now,i managed to add the Complete Precious Pupp Show(Im on the run with Wally Gator too) on TVMB with all the posters and backdrops. And Metadata collects the complete show in two seasons as its suposed to be but the background still stays black (first photo),not as its supposed to be with background like other shows (second photo). Is there something that im missing while adding the show on tmdb?
It looks like a number of changes were recently made for this series (including the first backdrop being added) so there may be a delay before these updates are available to Infuse.
I would give it a day or so and then use the Edit Metadata option on one of the episodes to reselect the correct series name. This should allow the artwork to be pulled in.
