Problem with firmware signatures

Hi can anybody help

when trying to jail break. Atv2   I find when it gets to the point of downloading firmware signatures. I get  a message  saying unable to fetch signatures from the Cydia servers. Have checked the firewall cutting are off.  Am now stuck

no I don't think so. I am new and green this stuff. Is it now us.
