Prevent Persistent “File Not Found” Error for Automatically Removed Plex Collections

Hello Infuse Team,

First, thank you for the great app — it’s been a fantastic way to enjoy my Plex library!

I’m reaching out with a feature request related to how Infuse handles Plex collections that are automatically removedby external tools like Kometa, which is used for managing seasonal collections in Plex.

Use Case: I use Kometa to automatically create and remove seasonal collections in Plex, such as a “Valentine’s Day Movies” collection that appears every February and is deleted outside that window. This workflow works great for keeping my library fresh and relevant throughout the year.

Problem: When Kometa deletes these collections from Plex, Infuse continues to show a persistent “File Not Found” error for the removed collection until I manually delete it inside Infuse. This leads to a confusing and frustrating experience, especially for users who rely on automated seasonal collection management.

Request: Could you please consider adding a feature that:

  • Automatically detects when a Plex collection has been removed or is no longer available, and

  • Clears or refreshes the related cache in Infuse to prevent stale “File Not Found” errors without requiring manual intervention.
