I have two original Homepods set up as a an Apple TV stereo output pair and my understanding is that I can play E-AC-3 JOC (Dolby Digital Plus with Joint Object Coding) files to hear Dolby Atmos.
I have a Dolby Vision compatible TV so I should try to find files with Dolby Vision Profile 8.1, right?
I want to confirm which media files are best to play through Infuse in this order:
- Dolby E-AC-3 JOC (Dolby Digital Plus with Joint Object Coding)
I believe these files would provide lossy Dolby Atmos.
- True HD or DTS Master Audio
If the E-AC-3 JOC isn’t available then I can’t get Dolby Atmos so I should select a lossless file and Infuse will convert it to lossless PCM.
This would be better than playing a lossy E-AC-3 or AC-3 file, right?
