Plex + Infuse + Nas?

Im using Infuse with my NAS. Its plugged in and I just have to place my correctly named episodes into the folders.
However, I hate the tmdb database and it seems there is no way of using imdb or anything else. Why I hate it, a lot of things are missing and some things I dont like how they are named. For example, all the detective conan episodes are 1 single season and I would like to display it as multiple seasons like imdb does. While I can do that the artwork doesnt fit anymore and all the episodes have the same thumbnail.

I heard that people who use plex with infuse dont have this problem. Probably because plex uses some different database.

I love it when things are clean and organized. What would you suggest me to do? Is there a way of using plex + nas + infuse? Is that a stupid way of doing it? I dont know a lot about plex but I have a 8tb nas sitting here and do want to use it. But at the same time, whenever I travel I cant watch anything on my apple tv without to first download it. It has been a mess. So I thought maybe plex can offer watching on the go too. Sorry that Im bad at explaining this.

yes you can set up plex on your nas (assuming your NAS has the ability to run apps) and then connect infuse to that.

however, i wouldn’t recommend Plex (although others might).
i’d suggest going with Jellyfin.

Does jelly support other media database than tmdb like plex? I didnt like plex either, I just want a proper media library database and I cant get to like tmdb.

jellyfin lets you add whatever metadata provider you want

what are you finding wrong with tmdb? almost every media server solution will use tmdb or thetvdb.
it’s basically the industry standard.

you’ll struggle to find anyone that uses IMDB metdata as it’s no longer free to use after Amazon bought it and restricted use to its API.
