Just a suggestion, with updates happening sometimes within days of each other you should include the version number just to help determine which version.
Yes, the issue persists. 79QEM
We have a fix for this available in TestFlight.
If you are interested in testing you can join TestFlight using this link.
Tried to install the testlfight but I can’t get infuse Pro activated (all purchase options spin and can’t be selected, Restore doesn’t work) so I can’t get anything to play on the appletv.
I have had this issue for a while (tvOS w/HomePods) so was hoping to help you validate the fix.
Unfortunately, App Store purchases won’t transfer to TestFlight.
The easiest option is to use Trakt to share the purchase. Simply log into Trakt on a device running the App Store version and then log into that same account in the TestFlight version.
I was able to ge the test flight working (thank you!) and what I’ve seen now a couple of times is that it looks like it’s having the blackout issue, but it quickly self-corrects and resumes without issue. 57EVW may have information if that’s helpful.
Thanks again!
Hi,
TestFlight beta version installed.
Instead of randomly blackouts, there is a new behavior.
Randomly, the video/sound glitches, then roll back 2-3 seconds before the glitch, then continue playing without issue, until the next random bug.
So it’s better than the black screen, but not perfect yet
Seeing the same a glitch of about 2 seconds.
I have a very similar sounding issue in Infuse 8.1.5.
My content is served via WebDAV, I don’t think that is relevant though. The audio is Dolby Atmos 5.1 and the video is HDR10+ that causes this. I’m on a Samsung OLED with latest tvOS on my Apple TV.
Diagnostic code is 0Q0K3
(sidenote, maybe don’t include 0’s and O’s in codes that need to be shared. I’m pretty confident I have 0’s here but I could be wrong).
This is happening to me too, a surefire way to reproduce it is to pause playback and then resume. If I just watch it straight it never happens.
I’m going to throw in a friendly compliant here, please do better Q&A in the future, this is almost 30 days old.
Today’s 8.1.6 update includes a set of changes to improve the behavior if/when this issue appears.
Unfortunately, the core issue is a system bug related to how Apple handles some Atmos content and a fix will likely need to be made by Apple.
The next update will include a toggle for Dolby Atmos within Infuse, which would allow you to avoid the issue entirely by playing the affected files in multichannel audio mode instead of full Dolby Atmos. This toggle would also allow for features such as Volume Boost to work with Dolby Atmos content.
Thanks for your patience.
I saw the other thread about this first, but I started having this happen on my AppleTV since the 8.1.6 update rolled out, but the files I’ve been having it happen with just have stereo AAC LC audio. They don’t have any Dolby Atmos tracks in them, as far as I can tell.
