Playback pauses when switching between fullscreen apps

After updating to Infuse 8.3.5401 on Tahoe 26.0.1 (Macbook Air) there is an odd behavior in fullscreen mode. Infuses buffer crashes / stops playing in the background when switching to other fullscreen apps on the mac (going to desktop or windowed apps is not triggering this behaviour). Switching back to Infuse restarts the buffering again and the movie continues.

Was working up until last week - please have a look.

Thanks.

I’m having the same issue. This started happening after updating to Infuse 8.3 on MacOS. I hope this wasn’t an intentional change.

Just discovered the same. Annoying. Would you mind fixing it soon, please?

Having the same issue. InFuse 8.3.5401 on MacOS 15.7.1 (M4 Max MBP). Thought it may be a new feature and that it can be disabled but found no option in settings. Apparently a bug/issue then ?

This is definitely a big issue; I like to do other things while a video or music clip is playing in the background. Infuse has become like a simple video player lately. Unfortunately, the app is getting worse.

They need to stop whatever they’re doing and fix this problem. I’m using an older MacBook and I have the same issue. If I open another window while a video is playing, the video stops. Seamless background playback is a must-have feature on all devices. In 2025, it’s a necessity, not a luxury.

Videos stop automatically when I switch to another app or window. The video doesn’t play in the background. When I switch to another app, infuse crashes.
