Playback issues with Dolby Vision on macOS

I’m having a lot of playback issues on macOS. I’m running macOS (14.1.1) with Infuse 7.6.2 (7.6.4599) on a MacBook Pro 14" (2021). All of these issues are only affecting playback of 4K Dolby Vision content. I have tested this on files with these Dolby Vision formats:

HDR format: Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.05.06, BL+RPU
HDR format: Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.08.06, BL+RPU, Blu-ray compatible / SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible / SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible

Playback issues I’ve discovered:

  1. Some DV files have terrible stuttering (related to HDR Playback Issues)
  2. When I start playing a file or when I skip to a different part, the audio starts playing and the video takes 2-5 seconds to resume. Sometimes it even gets de-synced from the audio and I have to pause and then resume to get it synced (related to Delay after skipping/scrubbing)
  3. Resuming playback often causes the video to start playing ahead of the audio and then jump back after a split second to get back in sync
  4. During playback clicking on the cog wheel to bring up the audio and subtitle menu causes the video to pause and then resume after a split second
  5. Pausing the video sometimes immediately resumes it and the playback continues
  6. Occasionally, at a random point during the playback, the video jumps 3-5 seconds forward and gets de-synced with the audio (which continues to play) then after the audio reaches the point where the video jumped to (those 3-5 seconds ago) the video jumps back to that point and syncs with the audio replaying that portion of the video

The files are being streamed from a Jellyfin server on my local network. I’ve tried changing streaming cache to “memory only” and these issues still persist. Both iOS (17.1.1) with Infuse 7.6.2 (4599) and iPadOS (17.1.1) with Infuse 7.6.2 (4599) play the same files instantly after scrubbing and resuming with none of these issues during playback. I’m an Infuse Pro subscriber.

I got the exact same problems… I stream from Plex

I’ve since switched to a Plex server and the issue persists with Infuse 7.6.4 (7.6.4633).
