I’ve been dealing with a few issues since the 8.x upgrade, and thought I should report them since it seems to be getting worse rather than better.
I’m using Infuse 8.0.5 on an Apple TV 4K model A2169 with 64GB that is running tvOS 18.1. The Apple TV is connected via wired Ethernet to the home network, and Infuse plays contents from a file share on my Synology NAS.
The reason I suggest playback is getting worse is twofold:
-
When playing a title, even after a fresh reboot of the Apple TV, if I press pause and then fast forward or rewind and then hit play, the audio plays but the video remains stuck in a freeze frame. I can work around this by playing any other title for a second and then coming back to my movie and playing it again. The same behavior has happened after pausing for a duration, until the screen saver comes on, and then playing it again after coming back out of the screen saver.
-
When resuming a title (coming back to continue after leaving it from one or more days prior), pressing play does not always just work. Often since the 8.x update it just presents the spinning cursor and waiting doesn’t seem to help, it just never plays. Usually I quit the app when this happens and then come back in and it just works, but tonight when I did that I lost the position and it started from the beginning of the movie.
@james: If you would please look into these issues, I would appreciate it. Thanks!
