Hi all,
I hope that you can help me troubleshoot this issue:
Using Infuse together with Plex. On my local network everything works without issues. When I try to stream movies from my home to my mother’s house I have playback issues (buffering / stutter).
Plex server is running on a Synology DS 920+. I don’t see any resource issues
Movies direct play so transcoding should not be a factor
The router at my house is Ubiquiti UXG Pro. I can’t see that I’m throttling traffic
The router at my mother’s house is a Google one that has very few settings that I can change. Seems fast enough though
The internet connection at my house is 1000 / 500 Mb/s. The connection at my mother’s is 600 / 60 Mb/s
Server and clients are hardwired
I have tested with speedtest.net and I get the expected download and upload speeds
When I test the connection with Infuse I get around 40 Mbps average
I have also tested with iperf3 between a PC at my mother’s house and my NAS. I get:

The PC I test with is on Wifi. I forgot my USB-C to Ethernet adapter so can’t test it with a cabled connection. I’m wondering why there are so many retries…?
I have also tested with a direct SMB connection using Tailscale as VPN to access my network at home (Tailscale running on my NAS). Same issue
I am at a loss at this point so any ideas are more than welcome!
