Really not trying to be annoying or anything but this problem keeps happening to me over the last couple of months, I was hoping it would eventually go away with the new updates but sadly it did not. I’ll post the mediainfo of the video down below, it seems to be happening only on this show.
Also just to note that I have every settings checked corrected and latest tvOS/Infuse installed/re-installed all that nine yards so really ran out of options now.
Sorry should have been more clear, problem is stuttering playback.
Honestly this kind of discussions has been going on here since last year so I assumed everyone should be already familiar with what I’m describing, but still, my bad.
What I mean by every settings is that I’ve already checked that frame rate matching and dynamic range matching are both on, ample internet/LAN speed(950mbps+), no motion processing from the TV itself, latest software, resetting/restarting the app/system, etc.
Have you tried a different encoder for this file/show?
Which ATV? 4 or 4K? If 4K which gen?
What do you get in the Infuse speed test for this file?
There have been numerous different causes for a single issue so just because it’s an often described symptom it doesn’t always equate to the same single problem.
If you’re only seeing this on a specific show with a specific encode then it’s probably a encoder issue but without knowing in detail what you have tried then it’s basically a new issue and we need to run through the common possible causes.
One more question, which streaming cache do you have Infuse set to? Auto or Legacy?
Thanks for the reply mate, yes, it’s only happening on this show so far.
I don’t have a version encoded in a different codec although I did noticed that the file plays just fine when turning off frame-rate matching, works every time.
My model is ATV 4K 2021.
Speed test on this exact file gave me 920mbps+ average.
As for the stream cache setting I have been experimenting with both auto and legacy for awhile now but it’s pretty obvious it happens on both settings.
Again I’m happy to provide the file for you guys to test:)
Sorry James, I really hope I’m not being a pain in the ass hahah, however…was just trying to play 2001: Space odyssey and it won’t play it any more, was able to play it just fine before the update, did a speed test and no things wrong with ethernet either.
Every time I hit play the spinning circle shows up and keeps spinning until I quit playing, first time it happened I thought the file must have been updated by Radarr so I tried to refresh the metadata but that couldn’t seem to finish at all, unless I kill the app and restart it.
Played the same file on Mac has the same issue, all 7.3.5.
The only time it plays fine is from my iPhone, where I have the old 6.6.4 version installed.
