The problem described in the topic is on Apple’s side. This year, Apple has discontinued technical support for the Apple TV 4K 1 Gen. Therefore, this bug will never be resolved.

That’s right, there’s no problem with 4K. The issue is specifically with 1080p HDR files. Specifically, there’s a bug in the HDR content upscaler to 4K. This is a feature of the A10X chip. By switching the device to 1080p mode, the 1080 HDR files will stop stuttering. This issue has been around for many years. It was first identified on the 1st Gen Apple TV 4K in December 2021.
Yes. I think the Firecore Team will not put any effort in fixuing this, because this onl affects a years old device because of its CPU. With the newer models you don’t have this problem.
