Play without tracking (Incognito mode?)

I share my Infuse installation with my family including kids. Sometimes I want to browse my videos and want to randomly watch clips from several movies etc, but I don’t want those showing up in the “Now Watching” part. I wish there was a way to press play but with some kind of “do not track” mode so that I can browse around movies and it doesn’t show up in Now Playing, or track my progress or anything like that. There might be a movie that has a poster with guns etc, and I don’t want my kids seeing that when we open up Infuse just to navigate to the kids section but they will see what dad has been watching recently.

When you click/tap and hold on the Play button, it gives you additional options. Perhaps another option could be added like “Play without tracking”?

Wow, looks like I mentioned this exact topic in 2019. "Incognito" playback? Browsing your tv shows and movies without it showing up on the top bar

After playing those videos/movies you don’t want tracked, mark them as watched or unwatched as you exit the movie and they will not show up in the “Now Watching” section.

It’s a good solution, it just would be nice if in one click you can watch something, then not worry about it.

It really is just one click, click to watched, or click to unwatched.

Personally, I’ve been doing this for years when watching something for a few minutes. Just double click the watch/unwatch button and it’s back to not watched. It’s become habit. :grinning:
