PiP + AirPods sleep detection: answering a call resumes the paused video and drowns out the caller

Body:

Hit a reproducible audio session issue with PiP background playback on AirPods.

Setup:

  • Infuse 8.4.3 (5628) on iOS 26.4.2, iPhone 16 pro max

  • AirPods Pro 3, “Pause Media When You Fall Asleep” enabled (iOS sleep detection)

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start a video in Infuse, engage PiP, switch to another app or lock the screen.

  2. Fall asleep with the AirPods in. Video pauses from sleep detection, as expected.

  3. A phone call comes in while the video is paused in PiP.

  4. Single-click the AirPod stem to answer.

Expected: Call answers. Video stays paused, or iOS suspends the media session cleanly.

Actual: Call answers AND the video resumes at the same time. Video audio plays over the call and I can’t hear the other person.
