Pauses, crashes, and temperamental playback

As per the title implies - recently there have been issues when playing back content on Infuse.

I’m fully up-to-date with the tvOS patches and I am also up-to-date with the Infuse version.

However, I am experiencing pauses in playback - whereby I am having to close the app, restart it and hope for the best. Ordinarily this resolves the matter but sometimes it doesn’t and I have to repeat that process.

I have noticed this happening more often. To the point it is most times I use the app. Previous to this, it had been a pretty flawless experience.

Is there anything that I can do to try and identify and resolve the matter?

One thing that may help in troubleshooting your problem is giving the version numbers of the OS as well as the Infuse version number. I know you said you were running the latest but considering the frequency of updates both of the OS as well as Infuse the versions can change it a day or two and those changes may affect the fixes.

One thing I’ve found to be more frequent is the need to restart the ATV to clear things out. I’ve got into the habit of about monthly unplugging the ATV for a minute and then plugging it back in. That seems to be the most effective for me but maybe just a restart from the settings on the ATV may work for you.

Versions are tvOS 18.5 and Infuse 8.1.9.

I agree. A restart can fix it. But the app shouldn’t be needing this almost every use. Which for me, can be daily.

Plex became unusable from my POV and I would hate for Infuse to go the same way. Especially seeing as it has been flawless up until recently.

Bumping this back to the top hopefully.

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve seen a return of the constant pauses, freezing and ultimately, crashing of Infuse app on Apple TV. It is the latest version of the app 8.2.3 and I’m on the latest tvOS.

Is there a setting that I may need to enable or disable to bring about a more stable playback experience? I shouldn’t be having to restart Infuse once, maybe twice every movie stream experience.

Happy to supply logs if you show me how to create them. I hope with a little bit of input I’ll be able to resolve this.
