Hello, all the customization available for metadata are only working with the library and not while browsing directly via folders. Would it be possible to include this?
Examples: the custom tag “sorttitle” (nfo) will have no effect in direct folders. Same this for custom edition of a movie: Custom tags - fetching rules - how does it work? - #3 by mvk.

Most overrides (title, artwork, description, etc…) will be available in both folders and library.
However, some things like sort title and edition grouping are only available when using the library. The folder view is designed to provide access to files in the folder as-is, so library features like grouping and special sorting will not be available there.
Such features could also be useful in folders. Regarding grouping different versions of a movie, that’s obvious. For the “sortitle”, it’s a way to compensate the missing sorting option by folder (name/year).
The strange thing is that when i toggle from ‘local’ to “online” metadata, then i revert back to force a cache update, for 1-2 seconds the movies are in the correct order, then everything is sorted again by name (see the attached screen recording).
I tried to modify to the name of the folder, of all the files (movie, nfo, pictures), by prepending a prefix such as ‘#001’ and nothing changed.
