OSD doesn't show up on first tap of Apple TV clicked

When playing a video file, tapping the clickpad once doesn’t bring up the OSD. Tapping it a second time immediately after, or even several seconds later, brings up the OSD as expected. This is happening on the latest generation of Apple TV with ethernet port.

In other apps, such as Netflix, tapping the clickpad brings up what OSD immediately, so this isn’t a hardware issue with my device.

Hoping this bug can be rectified, unless this is some sort of intended behaviour with perhaps a settings toggle I missed?

This is still happening in 8.3.6. Confirmed on multiple Apple TV devices.

Is no one else experiencing this?

It’s persisted on several models of the Apple TV 4K for me, as well as several version of Infuse.

No other apps behave this way.

There is some logic in place to avoid accidental taps, which we added in response to some user feedback that was received in the past.

Instead of a quick tap, can you try resting your thumb on the center pad/button for a half second or so?
