Option to turn off rounded poster corners

Many posters now look awful because the corners cut into white borders and the artwork is cropped and zoomed in far too much.

You must give users the option to turn this off.

I don’t subscribe to most of what was written and thus can’t really hit the heart button*, but I too find the rounded corners problematic for many of my movie posters (both in terms of how it affects certain poster designs, and in losing some of the desirable individuality of modest differences in poster aspect ratio) and would really like to be able to opt in to just showing the posters unmodified, centered within their tile.

(* I subsequently did hit the heart button on the original post due to the claim that sorting by Likes is how the developer judges interest.)

Is there likely to be an option added to revert to the old way of displaying the item posters eg on the first screen?

With the new extremely curved corners that now seem to be applied by default, it effectively cuts off the corners of the border I put on the outside edge of all my posters - which looks pretty ugly :grimacing:

I moved your post to a currently running thread requesting this feature.

Don’t forget that you need to click the like button on the first post in this thread to show your support for this suggestion!

Do I have to do it to the first post..? Just as I kinda echo the feelings of the first reply.. Just as the OP sentiment is quite extreme imo :grimacing:

Thanks for moving my post btw!

The first post likes are the ones counted in the sort by likes feature of the forum and how the dev can judge interest. You can like any other posts in the thread to acknowledge another post but the first post is the one to show overall support to the suggestion.

+1 for this. I know a large population of the plex community stick with a standard for posters (mm2k or cl2k) which include by default 26 pixel white borders. These look great in plex, but looking at them in infuse is hard to stomach.

This is how they look in Infuse currently:
