You’re aware some of use Jellyfin and Emby where there is no way to switch profiles except through Apple’s implementation - which is broken? And therefore you should add a way to select a profile when the app is open.
If you do not do this, I will not be purchasing a lifetime membership nor will I be resubscribing with my yearly membership.
Yeah, this is my issue. Plex is going downhill FAST. I no longer use Plex.
I already have a lifetime subscription- and I was going to purchase for my Daughter and my parents… but we all rely on profile switching because we use this in our living rooms.
Emby and Jellyfin profiles are quite a bit different as they use individual username logins as opposed to managed profiles (single login) like Plex has.
This is something we may look into though.
We’ll also be monitoring the progress of tvOS 26.6 (and tvOS 27.0 which presumably we will see in early June) to see if any relevant changes/fixes are included.
We “MAY” look into, and not something we “WILL” do is all I need to know to just cancel my subscription. Other, better, apps are on the horizon already, if you aren’t going to commit to a proper fix, I’ll just go to those. Thanks for telling me.
