So i started using infuse for mac sometime ago and i’m loving it! Thank you so much to the team!
It would be nice to have this feature for macOS to ignore forced subtitles.
Because now if my subtitles settings are on, and my file has both forced and full subs, infuse automatically picks up forced subs first and then i need to go to playback settings and switch to full subtitles manually
I think this is a bug effecting accessibility, I’m experiencing the same issue.
With subtitles turned on forced is always selected first, rather than as a secondary choice, we’re constantly having to set the correct subtitle/caption when we start playback.

It’s something that is very annoying, especially with tv show where you have to go and change the subtitles for every single episode.
I have a dual language library, mostly with this structure:
Audio: ita - eng
Subtitles: forced ita, regular ita, regular eng
If I have my preferences set with “Audio language: English, Subtitle language: Italian” and “Subtitles: on”, I want my videos to play with English audio and FULL Italian subtitles.
This seems obvious to me, but Infuse always defaults to the forced track.
What’s the difference between “on” and “forced only” if the forced track is always the one selected?
This seems like a very old issue and judging by the lack of official responses, one that will never be tackled properly, which is sad considering the high quality of the product.
