I’m just shocked that there is no rollback option to previous player design.
It was just elegant and no eye strain bar with slide option for subs and audio changes, but now it is just feels clumsy on my 65-inch display with that GIGANTIC nonremovable Title and Episode bar with no customization in settings menu and I just cannot use this great app from now on.
I have a yearly membership which was planned upgrade to lifetime after expiring but now I’m seeing that this app just is unpleasant to use in terms of quick look specific moment because of that GRAND TITLE STRING is appears every time when you back and forward to timeline and it out of my control and there is no option revert those modern design implementations on any of my device beside MacBook where player is the same and it still great.
I’m strongly asking you to add a option to hide those 2 strings cause we already know what do we watching when chose Series or Movie and there is no reason to get a noisy reminder of that every time when we use timeline (we already have a slide option for that info)
Unfortunately there are not enough people like us. that’s all I really wanted also is just an option to turn it off. also they tend to respond to these things if ALL of us like these post and have every one who agrees hit the heart icon. head to social media sites to get others to like your post!
If there will not be fixed in a way they did with the main cover like New, Modern and Classic styles but for player UI then i’ll just go to closest alternative, buy new Mac Mini with all its obvious benefits and sell Apple TV until a moment Firecore team will just fix what worked just fine and was no needed in urgent rework with NO REVERT option…
I really upset and strongly regret that I pressed update button. I thought developers that clearly understand that not every guy will like new Cover UI but not have this naive thought in mind that new player UI should be OPTIONAL but not a mandatory.
I hope they have not hardcoded this new UI and we can have in a future update a previous design cause those distracting GIGANTIC TITLE STRINGS is making you average user looks like a forgetful guy that can easily forget what Series or Movie he’s watching at this very moment…
